I haven’t been photographing a ton of engagement sessions lately and I’m really missing it. Since relocating to the country, a little over an hour north of Chicago, I’ve been taking on less due to my location. But that allows me to miss them and be more creative when I do them. It also just inspires me to document my couple’s love. So today I present to you Tina and Patrick and their beautiful Schaumburg engagement session.
When Tina and I sat down to talk about what they envisioned for their engagement session she wanted something that represented their love and brought them back to nature. We had brainstormed some locations in Chicago but none quite fit their vision. Busse Woods in Schaumburg is one of those nature locations that is endless. I’ve photographed a ton here over the years and each time I try to pick a location in the park that is new to me so I can give my clients a different experience. I scouted this location a few days prior to their session and then arrived a bit early to walk the trail and make sure it spoke to me the way I thought it would to Tina and Patrick. The light was already gorgeous prior to starting their session so I knew within the next hour that golden sunlight we all dream of would spread through the trees and create a magical feel. I was right. It was the perfect session and man these two are sure in love.
