One of my resolutions for this year was to post more personal posts, take more trips and take more photos. I typically don’t carry my camera with me and snap photos when I am traveling. In 2014 that is going to change. This past November Josh and I took a trip to Saugatuck, Michigan for a little romantic weekend. Wedding season was coming to an end and we wanted some time to ourselves. So we packed up the car, grab Buster’s leash and headed off on a three hour drive for a mini vacation. When we arrived at our hotel there wasn’t a single car in the parking lot, it was raining and kind of straight out of a horror movie. Saugatuck was in it’s off season. A popular beach town in Michigan now boarded up for the winter. My perfect vacation place. We explored neighboring towns and visited three different breweries and really enjoyed our weekend. I hope there are more of these.

The things you do for yourself are gone when you are gone, but the things you do for others remain as your legacy.
