A couple weeks ago my friend Sarah, Ana and I went out and explored a different side to Lake Michigan, in Michigan. Warren Dunes is something special. Something really special. Living in Chicago I don’t get to see very many trees in one location. Not to mention the HUGE dunes I fell madly in love with. Someone should really give me a reason to head back there and play in the clay pit for me.
I wanted to try something new and get back in to shooting some photography for me. I’m a firm believer that every photographer needs to photograph for them outside of their “job” to not feel burnt out. When I started off in photography I never saw myself as a wedding photographer. My focus in college was large format, fine art photography. Somewhere along the way I lost sight of that and my focus became mainly my job. Four years later I am back to producing work for me. It may not be large format. (yet!) However, it’s something.

The things you do for yourself are gone when you are gone, but the things you do for others remain as your legacy.
Megan you have so much talent and an eye for creating the perfect pictures. They are beautiful and do tell what you desire a visual story. We your fans in Florida applaud your work. We love you g-pa and g-ma.
I love the bold punch of color from the flag on the beach. Beautiful photos!
